Comfortable down to 0-5ºC
2-2.5" loft (single layer), suggesting the temperature rating is pretty accurate
Sewn through 'U-shaped' baffles that imitates the Enlightened Equipment Revelation design
Drawn close footbox
Central zip that allows for the user to put their head through and wear as a jacket
Packs down very small, great value for size and weight
This quilt with a hoodless design will fit most adults fine length wise at a generous 190cm. As the design is hoodless the bag will fit users up to 6' (182cm) without much of an issue. The quilt's design is taken from Enlighten Equipment's Revelation quilt, copying the same materials (10D Nylon and 850FP down) to the same baffle design, but sewn through thus offering less warmth.
As with all AegisMax down sleeping bags and quilts, user reports additional loft can be gained through washing the product with a down wash such as the NikWax down wash as well as washing the DWR layer off to improve breathability.
According to numerous user reports, the comfort range for the AegisMax Wind Hard quilt is anywhere between just below 0ºC (32ºF) to 5ºC (41ºF), depending on the user's sleeping preference. This range is in-line with the 2"-2.5" loft that the bag has. Seeing as the original Enlightened Equipment Revelation bag that this imitates is rated to 20ºF at around the same filling weight but with a baffled design rather than the sewn through one of the AegisMax, it suggests that a 0ºC rating is fair for the AegisMax Wind Hard quilt.
